by Leandro Lutz • 16.03.2023
Team XPND Fuel has reinforced its Pro Team for the upcoming Birkebeinerennet by adding talented athletes.

The new Pro Tour athletes for Team XPND Fuel are Nora Sanness and Sigrid Leseth Føyen, competing on the women’s side.

Nora Sanness recently skied a fantastic 50km race at Holmenkollen, finishing in 5th place, just 3.5 seconds behind winner Ragnhild Haga. Sannes made her World Cup debut in Holmenkollen, where she impressed experts with her offensive attitude and performance.

“With her excellent form and positive mindset, we are confident that she will excel in the race from Rena to Lillehammer,” says Svein Olav Utistog from Team XPND Fuel.

Sigrid Leseth Føyen has also had an impressive season, earning bronze in the U23 World Championships in the sprint and second place in the 30km race in the Scandinavian Cup, only behind Ebba Andersson.

“It will be exciting to see what these talented athletes can achieve against long-distance specialists at Saturday’s Ski Classics race,” says Svein.

On the men’s side, Team XPND Fuel is proud to announce the addition of Jon Rolf Skamo Hope from ‘Equinor Rekruttlandslag’ and Gaute Kvåle from ‘Team Elon Vest.’

These athletes will join the experienced XPND Fuel team members, including Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Thomas Ødegaarden, Klas Nilsson, and Victoria Nitteberg.

“We can’t wait to see our team in action at Birkebeinerennet, and we are confident they will make us proud,” concludes Svein Olav Utistog.
