Now in its’ 16th edition, the FIS Tour de Ski starts on December 28, 2021 and finishes on January 4, 2022. 

The traditional stage race consists of six competitions in three different countries, and is the fifth round of the 2021-22 FIS World Cup.

There are five different race formats in the FIS Tour de Ski 2021/22: 
– Two sprint races: one free technique and one classic technique 
– One distance race with individual start, classic technique 
– Two distance races with mass start: one classic technique and one free technique 
– One hill climb: a free technique distance race with mass start (Alpe Cermis/Final Climb)

What: Sprint Free Technique

11:30 am: Qualifiers, men and women
2 pm: Heats and finals, men and women

  • Tour de Ski 2021/22 starts in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, on December 28 and concludes in Val di Fiemme, Italy, on January 4.

  • Tour de Ski 2021/22 is the 16th edition of the brutal stage race. These are the winners from the previous 15 Tour de Ski events
  • The overall winners get 400 World Cup points for the Tour de Ski, which consists of six stages in eight days. Stage winners get 50 World Cup points. Accordingly, there are potentially 700 World Cup points for winning every stage of the Tour de Ski, which would determine the overall World Cup for the season.
