It’s been almost three years since Gustaf Berglund invited Ebba Andersson over for milk and cinnamon buns. Afterward, they took a walk together, and since then, they’ve been a couple. But only now are the two Swedish national team stars moving in together.

The reason it has taken so long for them to start living together is that they haven’t been able to find a house.

This is partly due to the fact that the couple has slightly different tastes. While Berglund likes older houses, Andersson prefers new and modern ones. But after six months of intensive house hunting, they’ve now found their dream home in Östersund.

“We came across a house that suits us, so we went for it,” Andersson tells Expressen.

When asked if it’s exactly what they dreamed of, she says it depends on whom you ask, and explains:

“It ended with Gustaf having to meet me a little more halfway.”

What does this mean for you?

“It gives us a bit more structure in our daily lives. And Gustaf doesn’t have to live out of a suitcase anymore. Now he can have his own closet,” Andersson says, laughing.

Right now, they are both at separate high-altitude training camps in Italy: Andersson with the women’s national team in Lavazè, and Berglund with the men’s national team in Livigno.

Gustaf Berglund also confirms that they are moving in together, and that it won’t be an old, historic house from the turn of the century.

“There aren’t too many protected houses from 2020.”

Regardless, they’ll move in later this fall.

“I’m really looking forward to it. It’s going to be super cool. Ebba and I have been together for almost three years, and it’s been a lot living out of a suitcase. So, I’m looking forward to having all my things in one place. It’s going to feel great,” says Berglund.

He also reveals that he’ll be taking care of the garden.

“I would describe myself as a guy who likes working in the garden. I’ve used hedge trimmers quite a bit over the years and was responsible for the lawn at my parents’ house. So, not to sound cocky, but I think I’m better at gardening than Ebba.”
