The Ski Classics Challengers event, Vasaloppet China, took place this Saturday with a 50km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Changchun, China. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event, Vasaloppet China, saw a fierce battle for the podium places. Ultimately, Malin Börjesjö, Team Internorm Trentino GSG, and Fabián Štoček, eD System Vltava Fund Team, won their respective races with solid performances.

Vasaloppet China – Women’s Race 

In the women’s competition, the winner was Malin Börjesjö, Team Internorm Trentino GSG, with a total time of 2:25:31.

Li Lei, from China, finished in second place, 1:42 back, followed by Zhang Zheng, also from China, 2:25 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

Vasaloppet China – Top 3 Women

  1. Malin Börjesjö, Team Internorm Trentino GSG, 2:25:31
  2. Li Lei (CHN), +1:42
  3. Zhang Zheng (CHN), +2:25

Vasaloppet China – Men’s Race

In the men’s event, the winner, Fabián Štoček, ed System Vltava Fund Team, completed the race in a time of 2:05:22.

Rolf Markus Hallén Johansson, from Sweden, finished in second place, 17.5 seconds behind, followed by Lorenzo Busin, Team Internorm Trentino GSG, completing the podium in third position and 17.8 seconds back.

  1. Fabián Štoček, eD System Vltava Fund Team, 2:05:22
  2. Markus Hallén Johansson, Team Ramudden/Offerdals SK, +17.5

As Vasaloppet China is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
