Stars skip national team altitude camp – follow their plans
Three of Sweden’s biggest cross-country skiing stars will miss the women’s national team altitude camp in September. Frida Karlsson, Linn Svahn, and Ebba Andersson are instead opting for their training programs ahead of the winter season.
This week, the Swedish women’s national cross-country team has been training in Torsby, and in September, they are scheduled for an altitude camp in Lavazè. The national team has now announced that three of Sweden’s top stars will skip the camp to pursue individual training plans.
Frida Karlsson, Linn Svahn, and Ebba Andersson have requested individually tailored programs for the final phase of the training period, according to the Swedish Ski Association.
Linn Svahn is still in rehab and has chosen to train at home in Östersund. She suffered a concussion after a fall on the ski course during the World Championships in Trondheim.
