Norway Wins the Men’s Team Sprint at the Beijing Olympics

Coming into the team sprint at the Beijing Olympics, the competition was expected to be a neck-a-neck fight between Norway and Russia. But in the end, it was a fierce battle between Norway, Russia, and Finland.

Norway took home the gold medal after a supreme last uphill performance from Klæbo. With Iivo Niskanen and Joni Maki, Finland took the silver medal in front of Alexander Bolshunov and Alexander Terentev from the Russian Olympic Committee in a close sprint to the finish.

The men’s 50km mass start freestyle on Saturday, February 19, and the women’s 30km mass start freestyle on Sunday, February 20, are the next and last events for the cross-country skiers at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
