Frida Karlsson May Quit Tour De Ski

by PROXCSKIING • 30.12.2021
After a fifth place in the 10km classic race today, Frida Karlsson (SWE) says she is even considering quitting Tour de Ski.

Frida Karlsson was in the lead at the 2.4km mark of today’s classic race, but finished fifth and was nearly 45 seconds behind winner Kerttu Niskanen (FIN).

“Today was a difficult day. It was just a war. I didn’t have that feeling in my body. I had to work for every stride and I didn’t get much for free”, commented Karlsson to SVT Sport, according to Langd.se.

Karlsson herself believes the reason for the poor result was likely his tough training sessions.

When asked how she sees the Tour continuation, Karlsson says:

“We’ll see. If I don’t perform the way I want, it might not make sense. Now I’m a little disappointed with today’s race, so I won’t say anything yet. But I will talk with my coach”, she concludes.
