Beijing Paralympics: Long-Distance Visually Impaired and Standing Results
PARA CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING – LONG-DISTANCE VISUALLY IMPAIRED
In the 20km men’s long-distance visually impaired race, Brian McKeever (Russell Kennedy – guide), from Canada, won the gold medal. From the USA, Jake Adicoff (Sam Wood – guide) secured the silver medal, and Zebastian Modin (Emil Haag – guide), from Sweden, completed the podium with the bronze medal.
In the women’s 15km long-distance visually impaired race, Ukraine’s Oksana Shyshkova (Andriy Marchenko – guide) secured the gold medal. From Germany, Linn Kazmaier (Florian Baumann – guide) finished in second place and got the silver medal. Leonie Maria Walter (Pirmin Strecker – guide), also from Germany, completed the podium in the third position and got the bronze medal.

In the 20km men’s long-distance standing race, Taiki Kawayoke, from Japan, won the gold medal. Jiayun Cai, from China, secured the silver medal, and his compatriot Mingyang Qiu completed the podium with the bronze medal.
Canada’s Natalie Wilkie secured the gold medal in the women’s 15km long-distance standing race. Sydney Peterson, from the USA, finished in second place and got the silver medal. Brittany Hudak, from Canada, completed the podium in third place and secured the bronze medal.
