A thriller awaits in Norway: With two Ski Classics Pro Tour events left, almost all bibs are still up for grabs – it is impossible to predict who will take the biggest prize money.

On Sunday, €200.000 will be awarded to the overall winners of Ski Classics Season XVI. With two Pro Tour events remaining – Reistadløpet and Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja – only one of the eight overall competitions has been mathematically decided: the Sprint bib in the women’s category, which firmly belongs to Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon.

In both Reistadløpet and Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja, the winner earns 300 points, second place gets 260 points, third place 230 points, and fourth place 200 points. Additionally, 45 Climb points are up for grabs for those who reach the Iconic Climbs first in both races, and 30 Sprint points are available in each race.

WOMEN’S COMPETITION: A BATTLE TO THE FINISH LINE

In the women’s competition, it’s primarily a duel between two favorites: Anikken Gjerde Alnæs leads Emilie Fleten by 81 points. Fleten dominated last season, winning all bibs by a large margin.

However, neither Alnæs nor Fleten is the top favorite to win Reistadløpet. Instead, Astrid Øyre Slind, Ebba Andersson, Stina Nilsson, and Victoria Carl—who are all out of the overall battle—are expected to fight for victory.

So how does Sweden’s triple world champion Ebba Andersson compare to defending champion Astrid Øyre Slind and this season’s Ski Classics breakout star Stina Nilsson?
