Transitioning to a new team can be both exciting and nerve racking but returning to a Swedish Pro Team, Lager 157 Ski Team, has proven to be an unexpectedly positive experience for the Engadin La Diagonela winner, Jenny Larsson.

“It feels actually unexpectedly good to be back in a Swedish team! The transition has been really smooth, and I feel so welcome in Lager 157,” says Jenny. “Of course, it helps that I know many of the skiers in the team and that I’m familiar with how the team trains, which gives me a good feeling about how everything works.”

Adapting Training Techniques

While Jenny has kept much of her training regimen intact, she’s made some thoughtful adjustments. “Not so much has changed, but I have adjusted how I periodize my interval sessions. I try to use even more standardized sessions than before so that I can more easily monitor my progress—or lack of it!”

Summer Training and Team Dynamics

Training with the Lager 157 Ski Team has been both inspiring and challenging for Jenny. “I have always had the fortune to train with really strong teammates, which is one of the things that inspire me the most,” Jenny reveals to ProXCskiing.com.

“In Lager 157, I’ve been both longing for and dreading our camps. I know they are different from what I’m used to, but that’s part of the fun of changing teams this season! I’ve really had to dig deep mentally to be my best throughout the camps and every hard session.”

The addition of more women to the team has also been a refreshing change for Jenny. “We have four girls on the team, which is new to me and really fun,” she shares. “There’s always someone who has a better day or different strengths than the others, and that makes every one of us stronger.”

Looking Ahead to Winter

As winter approaches, Jenny has clear and ambitious goals. “I really want to be on top of that podium again,” she says with determination. “That’s the best feeling I know.”
