Team GS8 has announced the signing of Vebjørn Moen for the Ski Classics World Championship Season XVIII (2026/2027).

Team GS8 has announced the signing of Vebjørn Moen for the Ski Classics World Championship Season XVIII (2026/2027).

Moen joins the Swedish Pro Team, Team GS8, after racing for Team Eksjöhus in recent seasons, where he established himself as one of the top sprinters on the Ski Classics World Championship circuit.

Announcing the move on social media, Team GS8 wrote:

“We are incredibly proud and excited to welcome Vebjørn Moen to Team GS8 for the 2026/2027 season! Vebjørn most recently comes from Team Eksjöhus and has shown in recent seasons that he is one of the top skiers in Ski Classics.”

“Last winter, Vebjørn finished 2nd in the fight for the green sprint bib after a really tight duel with Gabbe (Gabriel Strid). The year before that, however, it was Vebjørn who won the sprint competition and got to wear the green bib!”

“With his speed, competitive instinct and experience, he will be a really strong reinforcement for Team GS8. We are already super excited for the winter and look forward to seeing what we can achieve together! A warm welcome to Team GS8, Vebjørn!”

Moen, born in 1998, has raced in the Ski Classics World Championship since Season XIV (2022/2023). His best season came in Season XVI, when he won the Sprint competition overall. Last season, Season XVII, Moen finished runner-up in the same competition, placing second behind Gabriel Strid, who races for Team GS8.
