The ski couple is taking their relationship one step further and moving in together. “We’re moving in together on October 1.”

Anja Stolpe confirms this to NWT. The 23-year-old is the girlfriend of Sweden’s sensation Alvar Myhlback, and a teammate of the 20-year-old on the Swedish Pro Team, Lager 157 Ski Team. It was through the team that the two met.

It was during the Olympics in Milano-Cortina last winter that Myhlback confirmed the two are a couple. During Vasaloppet a few weeks later, Stolpe said the two had met through the team.

“It’s really cool. We’re on the same team and spend a lot of time together,” she said at the time, according to Langrenn.com.

Will live in Bjursås

Now the two are taking their relationship one step further and moving in together.

The couple will live in Bjursås outside Falun, where Myhlback’s family lives and comes from. In practice, they are already living together. Stolpe moved in with the Myhlback family earlier this autumn, and will stay there until she and Alvar can move into their new home.

“I recently gave notice on my apartment in Falun and temporarily moved in with Alvar and the whole family for about a month until we get access to the house,” says Stolpe.

“He’s hard to persuade”

Moving to her home area of Filipstad in Värmland is out of the question. But it is a process, Stolpe reveals.

“He’s hard to persuade, so I’ll probably have to fight a bit more. But the family has a cabin in Storfors where we go now and then,” she tells the newspaper.

In 2025, Myhlback became the youngest Vasaloppet winner of all time. He was only 18 when he won the 90km race from Sälen to Mora. This year he finished second, as Lager 157 Ski Team took all of the top five places in Vasaloppet. The superstar was also the best Swede in the sprint at the Olympics in Milan Cortina, where he finished ninth.

Stolpe raced for Lager 157 Ski Team’s development team and finished 12th overall in Ski Classics last winter.
