Fanny Endresen breaks her personal best at Ski Classics Pro Tour events
Despite not having a long list of results many athletes have in Ski Classics events, Fanny Marie Møller Endresen has been slowly entering the world of long-distance skiing with impressive results. The last edition of Bad Gastein Criterium, two weeks ago, is a testament to this, where Fanny achieved the 12th position. But even more impressive, a 15th in both Marcialonga and Birkebeinerrennet last season makes her an athlete to watch, especially now that she is training and racing with Team Janteloppet.
Fanny Marie Møller Endresen is a part-time athlete in Ski Classics because she has a full-time job and tries to structure training around it. Yet, she brings a refreshing perspective to the sport. Her achievements are a testament to her unique approach to balancing work and skiing. In her own words, the key to her success lies in “having fun with the training and not taking everything so seriously.” This philosophy, combined with structured training and a supportive work environment, allows her to excel in events like the Ski Classics Pro Tour.
Endresen’s summer training regimen reflects her approach of blending rigorous practice with enjoyment. She focuses on roller skiing and double poling but also ensures fun activities like attending festivals. “If I just had been focusing on the training and not all the other fun things you can do in the summertime, I think I would have been a bit bored,” she explains to ProXCskiing.com. This balance keeps her motivated and prevents burnout.

Being part of Team Janteloppet
Joining Team Janteloppet was a significant step for Endresen, aligning with her career and personal goals. Being a part of this Pro Team, especially alongside her best friend, Maren Engeskaug Nielsen, has been a dream come true for her. The training since joining the team has been similar to the previous year but with a bit more quantity.

Endresen aims to continue enjoying the sport for the season while striving for good results. She plans to participate in challenging races like Vasaloppet, Marcialonga, Birken, and Janteloppet. Her goal for Vasaloppet is to experience a positive race over its 90 kilometers.
“This season, I will debut in Vasaloppet, so maybe that’s a goal? To get a good feeling on 90 kilometers. I think it seems quite long… The plan is also to take part in Marcialonga, Birken, and Janteloppet. In addition, I will participate in some local ski races here in Norway”, she says to ProXCskiing.com.
Endresen also values community events, like training sessions with renowned skiers. She believes these events are crucial for attracting young talent and maintaining the sport’s fun aspect. Her enthusiasm for such events is evident when she says, “The largest skiing session on Mosetertoppen December 30 will be very fun! I hope people of all ages will take part in this. How many times do you get the opportunity to train with the king of cross-country skiing!? You better be there!!”
Then, she continues, “I think this kind of projects are very important for the recruitment of new, young skiers to the sport. In addition, it is a cool thing for preserving the fun of cross-country skiing! In addition, I think Janteloppet will be a big festival that no one will miss! After the ski race, it will be a great après ski with many good artists and a lot of fun!”
Fanny Marie Møller Endresen’s story in the Ski Classics is not just about athletic achievement; it’s about finding a fulfilling balance between work, sport, and personal life. Her approach and philosophy offer valuable insights for both athletes and enthusiasts.
