The Ski Classics Challengers event Blåvegenløpet is a 50km long-distance race in classic technique this Saturday, April 1, in Mo i Rana, Norway.

Blåvegenløpet is a long-distance skiing race in classic technique held annually, with a history going back to 1979, and will celebrate its 45th edition in 2023. The course stretches from Umbukta to Klokkerhagen, close to the city center of Mo i Rana.

Every year since 1979, approximately 1000-1500 skiers are participating in the event.

Blåvegenløpet has four events: 10km, 15km, 26km, and 50km, gathering all, from families to professional skiers, to one big ski event. The 50km long-distance race in classic technique is part of the Ski Classics Challengers series.

According to the Local Organizing Committee, they are set for Blåvegenløpet 2023, with lots of snow in the whole course and the weather forecast looking perfect for the weekend and adds:

“We have a new finish area for this edition of Blåvegenløpet. The new finish is closer to the city center of Mo i Rana and offers better logistics and scenery.”
