Due to bad weather and safety reasons, Årefjällsloppet organizers had to shorten the race from 104km to 62km and adjust the starting times.

This year’s Årefjällsloppet course has already been changed once due to the challenging weather forecast. Now the LOC is forced to change the course once again.

The reason for the change is due to strong winds and the danger of flooding on the Vålån river, which the skiers would pass towards the end of all laps.

The new course will be 62km long. There will still be three laps, and now only one Sprint checkpoint at the 18km mark and two Climb points at 30 and 51km.

The men now start at 8:30 CET and the women at 8:35 CET.
