Tour de Ski Stage 6: Katharina Hennig Wins The Classic Mass Start In Val Di Fiemme

Katharina Hennig secured first place in the women’s race for Germany at the Tour de Ski stage 6. Results from the women’s 15km mass start race in classic technique.

Katharina Hennig, from Germany, took home first place today at the Tour de Ski stage 6. Frida Karlsson, from Sweden, snagged second place, 0.7 seconds behind.

Kerttu Niskanen, from Finland, completed the podium in third place, 0.8 seconds behind the winner.

Rosie Brennan (USA), Team Robinson Trentino, who finished 4th at today’s race, is 5th overall, 2:28 behind the leader.

Another Pro Tour athlete, Astrid Øyre Slind (NOR), Team Aker Dæhlie, had a strong mass start performance finishing in the 6th position. Now, Øyre Slind is 7th overall, 3:03 behind Karlsson.

The Final Climb up to Alpe Cermis, a 10km mass start race in freestyle technique, on Sunday, for both women and men, is the next and final event for the Tour de Ski 2022/2023.

New this season is the same race distances for women and men in all World Cup events, as the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS) decided in May. Several other changes have also been introduced to the World Cup.
