Due to economic factors, the Czech Ski Association has decided to withdraw from hosting the FIS Cross-Country World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě, scheduled to take place in the Czech Republic from January 31 to February 2, 2025.

Nové Město World Cup, the ninth stop of the 2024/2025 Cross-Country World Cup, was planned to take place in the Czech Republic from Friday, January 31, to Sunday, February 2, 2025, but has now been canceled due to adverse economic conditions.

According to a press release from the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS), “options for a substitution are currently being evaluated by the FIS Cross-Country team together with the respective NSA’s and organizers,” and:

“A solution will be presented during the FIS Autumn meetings (24th to 27th September) to be discussed by the S.C. for World Cup & Continental Cup, Cross-Country Committee and approved by the FIS Council.”
