Finland’s Team For The World Cup In Lahti

The cross-country skiing World Cup heads to Lahti in Finland for the Season Finale. The Finnish Team is presented.

Lahti, Finland, is the place for this weekend’s cross-country skiing World Cup, with a team sprint in freestyle technique on Friday, a classic sprint on Saturday, and a 20km mass start race in classic style on Sunday. 

In a post on social media, the Finnish Ski Association has named their cross-country ski team for the upcoming World Cup in Lahti. Finland will start with 36 athletes. On the women’s side, Finland will begin with 17 skiers. Already on the men’s side, 19 athletes will start for the Scandinavian country.

Women’s Sprint Team

Jasmi Joensuu, Anne Kyllönen, Johanna Matintalo, Kerttu Niskanen, Krista Pärmäkoski, Anni Kainulainen, Jasmin Kähärä, Hilla Niemelä, Maaret Pajunoja, Eevi-Inkeri Tossavainen, Tiia Olkkonen, Elsa Torvinen.

Women’s 20km Classic Mass Start

New this season was the exact race distances for women and men in all World Cup events, as the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS) decided in May. Several other changes have also been introduced to the World Cup.
