The Finnish Ski Association has named the cross-country skiers for the 2022/2023 season. In total, 20 cross-country skiers selected will be part of the National A Team.

According to Finland’s Ski Association press release, the National A Team will be formed of 20 athletes, 7 women, and 13 men. The big goal for the season is the World Championships in Planica, Slovenia.

“On the men’s side, new young athletes rose to the World Cup points several times last winter, which is why the group of men is now a bit bigger than before. Last season was a success as a whole, and we will continue to camp in the A-national team very much in the same direction as the previous season. In addition, it is planned to differentiate the activities in the camps even more clearly, ie, sprinters and regular cross-country skiers will train more than before according to their program, says head coach Teemu Pasanen.
