The Czech Ski and Snowboard Association has named its cross-country ski teams for the 2026/2027 season.

According to a press release from the Czech Ski and Snowboard Association, the A-Team and B-Team for the 2026/2027 season have now been selected. 

The press release also states that the new head coach for the Czech national cross-country skiing team is German Falk Göpfert, who replaces Vasil Husák.

“We would like to thank Vasil for his many years of work with the national team. Under his leadership, the team has demonstrated clear performance growth and achieved very high-quality results last season. We appreciate his professionalism, commitment and energy that he has dedicated to Czech cross-country skiing, and we wish him only the best in the next stage of his life,” said Aleš Vaněk, cross-country skiing chairman.

“From the appointment of Falk Göpfert, we expect new impulses from other coaching schools, which will complement our successful know-how and help us win medals from top running competitions after many years,” said Vaněk and added:

“We expect that a significant part of the preparation under the leadership of Falk Göpfert will be completed by a wider group of athletes, i.e. both the A-team and the B-team.”
