German cross-country skiing training groups for season 2026/2027

The German Ski Association has named its cross-country ski training groups for the 2026/2027 season.

The German Ski Association has named its cross-country ski training groups for the 2026/2027 season.

According to a post on social media from the German Ski Association (DSV), the Training Group 1a and Training Group 1b for the 2026/2027 season have now been selected. 

“NEW SEASON IS ON. These athletes have been placed by the DSV into training group 1a, the highest support and training level, for the upcoming season. Further athletes can qualify for World Cup starts over the course of the season.”

According to the DSV release, Victoria Carl’s squad status is on hold pending the expiry of her ban, after which she will return to Training Group 1a.
