Les Belles Combes, a Ski Classics Challengers event planned to take place this weekend in Les Moussières, France, is now postponed to February 16, 2025.

The 42km long Les Belles Combes takes place annually in the village of Les Moussières, in the middle of the Haut Jura Nature Parc.

The Local Organizing Committee released a notice about the postponement on their official Facebook page:

The organizing committee of the cross-country skiing race “Les Belles Combes” announces the postponement of its races

Due to the forecasted inclement weather conditions this week (rain, warming temperatures, light snowfall) and the current fragile snowfall, we regret to announce the postponement of our “Les Belles Combes” race, initially scheduled for this weekend, December 21 and 22, 2024.

The new competition date is set for February 15 and 16, 2025, a week after the La Transjurassiene. The race schedule will remain the same: freestyle racing on Saturday and classic racing on Sunday. Classic-style marathons will always be part of the Marathon Ski Tour and Ski Classics Challengers circuit.

For people who have already registered, the registration will be automatically postponed to the new date.

We understand that this change may cause inconvenience and apologize to all participants. Be assured of the sincerity of our intentions; our only wish is to give participants pleasure on skis and to introduce them to the most beautiful landscapes of our vast northern area of the Hautes Combes.

Despite the postponement due to uncertain snow conditions, some areas of our northern area will likely still be in good condition this weekend. Don’t hesitate to come and enjoy.
