Axel Jutterström, Team Eksjöhus, was in the fight for podium positions for a long time in the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon but had to concede in the final sprint. He hopes his form will be even better for Engadin La Diagonela.

Axel Jutterström has convincingly started the season. He is third in the Champion standings overall and leads the race for the Youth bib. He has racked up prominent results, and last weekend’s 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon was no exception, ending in fifth place.

“I was sick over Christmas, so I was unsure about my form for the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon. It felt quite tough the week before, so I’m happy my body felt good during the race,” Axel says to ProXCskiing.com.

Engadin La Diagonela has a tough finish with a longer uphill. Axel believes this will suit him well.

“I think the finish on Saturday will suit me well because it’s uphill in the last kilometers. It’s different from most races, and I would say those finishes suit me best,” explains Jutterström.

How do you feel about your form now

“It has felt good after the race, and my body has recovered well.”

Strong Team

Team Eksjöhus has had a good start to the season, with several skiers delivering strong performances. In La Venosta, Team Eksjöhus had four male skiers in the lead group. Axel believes this opens more tactical moves.

“It’s really fun that we have so many strong guys right now, and it allows us to use several different tactics. Some can be more offensive, and others more defensive. It’s fun to see your teammates perform well, too.”

“I have trained with these guys all year, and it has helped everyone to raise their level,” he concludes.
