Hedda Bångman has switched teams to the Czech Vltava Fund Ski Team for the upcoming season. This weekend marks her debut with the new team: “I’ve had a very good autumn; I feel ready and loaded for what lies ahead,” says Bångman after Thursday’s ski tests.

One day remains until the start of the Ski Classics Season XV. For Hedda Bångman, this is the premiere with her new team, the Czech Vltava Fund Ski Team (last season, she competed for the French Team Nordic Expérience):

“I’m looking forward to starting the season. The main goal for the weekend is to find a good feeling. I participated in the traditional premiere in Gällivare a few weeks ago, and I’m a bit disappointed with the results there. I’ve had a good autumn and feel ready for what lies ahead,” says Bångman to Langd.se.

The first event is Saturday’s Bad Gastein Pro Team Tempo:

“The goal here is to ski well and make a strong contribution to the team. I haven’t trained much with my teammates yet. But, as I said, I want to perform well for the team and then do well in the individual race on Sunday.”

Season XV kicks off with four races in nine days:

“And at altitude, so it’s a tough schedule. Therefore, my goal now is not to push too hard before and between the races here in Bad Gastein and next weekend in La Venosta but to ensure that I gather reserves and find a good feeling,” says Bångman before heading out to test another pair of skis for the weekend’s competitions.
