CHALLENGERS TOTENRULLEN ATTRACTS STRONG ATHLETES

Tomorrow, Totenrullen, the first Norwegian Visma Ski Classics Challengers event of Season 2021/22, takes place with start and finish in Raufoss.
The course goes over a distance of 50 km in classic technique and has attracted lots of strong athletes that will start the challenge at 12:00 CET. The race will be broadcast live on NRK 1.

Totenrullen is part of Toten Ski Festival organized for the third time by Totenrullen AS in collaboration with Kaffebryggeriet, IDT, Raufoss Idrettslag and Østre Toten Ski Club. The ski festival is arranged for the third time in 2021 and consists of a 10 km skate race on Friday and the 50km classic race on Saturday which is part of Visma Ski Classics Challengers.

Finally, Norway is allowing to host sports events again and the interest is high, leading to an impressive start list. Several Visma Ski Classics Pro Teams as well as World Cup athletes will compete against each other in a thrilling race.

Visma Ski Classics Pro Teams Team Kaffebryggeriet, Team Ragde Charge, Team Coop, Team Telemark, Team Næringsbanken and Team Eksjöhus registered some of their best male athletes to compete against World Championship and Junior World Championship athletes like Sjur Røthe, Harald Østberg Amundsen and Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget.

Even though the women’s field is smaller, there are familiar names. Emilie Fleten, Team XPND Fuel of Norway, third in the overall standing of Visma Ski Classics Season XI competes against Marthe Mæhlum Johansen, Team Ragde Charge, and Silje Øyre Slind, Team Norconsult, amongst others.

The full start list, live results and splits can be followed in the Visma Ski Classics Livecenter and final standings will be published at the end of the race under Results on vismaskiclassics.com. The race will be broadcast live on NRK 1.

Participants of the 50 km classic event on Saturday collect points for their SC ranking which can be seen on MyPages.
