British biathlon teams revealed for the 2025/2026 season

The British Biathlon Union (BBU) has announced the athletes selected to represent Great Britain in the 2025/2026 biathlon season across the Senior, U21, U19, and U17 teams. 

The British Biathlon Union (BBU) has announced the athletes selected to represent Great Britain in the 2025/2026 biathlon season across the Senior, U21, U19, and U17 teams. 

According to the British Biathlon Union (BBU) on social media, the British biathletes selected will be part of the Senior, U21, U19, and U17 Teams for the season 2025/2026.

SENIOR ATHLETES

According to the British Biathlon Union, With the start to another Biathlon season rapidly approaching, it’s time to announce the senior athletes who will be representing Great Britain in the upcoming IBU season. Plenty of familiar faces in the group, as well as some new ones!”

“Last season brought some fantastic results, and we can’t wait to see the benefits summer training brings into the upcoming winter. Keep your eyes peeled for the rest of the teams coming up soon!

In July, the IBU Executive Board officially approved the nationality change of 23-year-old Jacques Jefferies from France to Great Britain. Formerly part of the French national group, Jefferies will now compete internationally for his parents’ home country. The British Biathlon Union confirmed the switch in its senior team announcement, as reported by NordicMag.

U21 ATHLETES

The post on social media says:“After a massive summer of development, we’re in an extremely fortunate position of having a strong U21 contingent on hand to represent Great Britain.”

“As with the senior team, there are some new faces to go with the faces that have been part of British Biathlon for many developmental years, and there’s a good mix of experience amongst them!”

“It’s great to see graduates of our talent ID process racing across all the levels of IBU competition, with the athletes showing dedication to the sport to reach increasingly higher benchmarks. More news on this front soon.”
