Sometimes recovery is all the body needs. A short jog can help the body flush out the byproducts of hard training.

Not every training session can be intense. Sometimes, a light jog can be a great way for the body to recover between tough workouts or during a demanding daily routine.

Jog for 30–45 minutes at a pace where you can easily hold a conversation. The speed should be slower than your usual long run. If you feel like you’re exerting yourself, you’re going too fast. This session is perfect the day after a hard interval workout or competition.
