Free skating is used at high speeds and on downhills – without poles. In this video, you’ll learn how to generate speed using only your legs and how to find balance at high speeds.

When it’s fast or when the poles are no longer enough – that’s when free skating comes into play. It’s the purest form of skate skiing, where the legs do all the work to move you forward. In the video, we show how to use powerful skating strides, balance over the ski, and maintain an efficient glide. An important technique for both training and racing in freestyle.
