Italy selects seven athletes for Junior World Championships in Madona

The Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) has named its team for the upcoming FIS Roller Ski Junior World Championships, taking place in Madona, Latvia, from July 17 to 20, 2025.

The Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) has named its team for the upcoming FIS Roller Ski Junior World Championships, taking place in Madona, Latvia, from July 17 to 20, 2025.

A total of seven young athletes, four women and three men, have been selected to represent Italy in one of the season’s most important international events for junior roller skiers.

According to a press release from FISI, the selection was made official through resolution No. 214 signed by FISI President Flavio Roda on July 7. The Italian juniors will compete alongside the world’s best in a packed program of four races in as many days, on the technically demanding course in Madona, a regular host of international roller ski competitions.

While the spotlight will also be on the Roller Ski World Cup taking place concurrently in Madona, the junior competitions are a prime opportunity for Italy’s next generation to shine on the global stage.

Competition Program – Madona 2025

  • Thursday, July 17: 10km Classic – Individual Start
  • Friday, July 18: Team Sprint
  • Saturday, July 19: Sprint Free Technique
  • Sunday, July 20: Mass Start Free Technique

With a strong technical background and growing depth in roller skiing, Italy hopes to return home with top results and valuable experience.
