GB Snowsport, the National Governing Body for snowsports in the UK, has named its cross-country ski teams for the 2026/2027 season.

GB Snowsport, the National Governing Body for snowsports in the UK, has named its cross-country ski teams for the 2026/2027 season.

According to a press release from GB Snowsport, the traditional cross-country skiing squads (World Cup, Continental Cup, Performance, and Junior) for the 2026/2027 season have now been selected.

Press Release

“We are pleased to confirm the selections for the Cross-Country squads that will represent Britain in international Nordic competition in the coming season.

Following selection meetings, we are delighted that Britain will field its biggest ever Nordic World Cup squad with seven athletes set to compete for the nation this season, including all four members of the 2026 Olympic Winter Games Team GB Cross-Country team.

Last year’s World Cup squad of James Clugnet, Joe Davies, Andrew Musgrave, and Andrew Young have all been reselected, and will be joined by Anna Pryce, Tabitha Williams, and Amelia Wells in a seven-athlete World Cup squad. Pryce and Williams both made their World Cup debuts for Britain last season delivering a succession of impressive performances as Britain reestablished itself in the Women’s Nordic World Cup circuit, while Wells joins the team from the Canadian system for whom she made her own World Cup debut in 2023.

A four-athlete Continental Cup squad sees Beinn Horsfall return from last season’s selections, where he is joined by Thomas Duncan (promoted from Performance Squad), Oliver Sweetman (transfer from Norwegian system), and Ida-Marie Ewald (previously a 2021/22 season Junior Squad selection).

Eight athletes have been selected for the Performance Squad, including professional cyclist Annabel Fisher who is selected into a GB Snowsport squad for the first time, while three have been named in the Junior Squad.

The team will continue to compete on the World Cup circuit as members of Team Aker Daehlie as our relationship with the pro team continues into a fifth season.”
