According to a press release from the Swedish Ski Association, the Swedish A-Team and Team BAUHAUS are in Sollefteå for seven days at Hallstaberget in their summer’s first training camp.

“This year’s first base camp, we get to start up in beautiful Ångermanland and on the top of Hallstaberget. We will focus on mass training and to work together with the partly new group of skiers,” says national team manager Anders Byström.

This Monday, the first training session is 2-3 hours of classic rollerskiing.

“The A-team and Team BAUHAUS run all camps together and we start with several passes on Hallstaberget’s rollerski track where we will begin the preparations for the WC in Slovenia this winter,” says Anders Byström.

This year’s camp plan has fewer travel days and more camps in Sweden. A camp plan that has been added according to the wishes of the skiers. The result involves camps in Sollefteå, Torsby, Trollhättan, Planica, Toblach and Vålådalen.

“We have carried out evaluations with active members of the national team, both in writing and in individual meetings, in order to continue to develop the business. Among other things, active skiers want more days at home and fewer trips, which has been taken into account in the planning of camps and activities during the summer,” says Byström.

Calle Halfvarsson, Edvin Anger and Märta Rosenberg are not attending the training camp in Sollefteå.

“Calle has just become a father and is on parental leave. Edvin and Märta stay at home due to illness,” concludes Anders Byström.

The national team camp in Sollefteå runs until July 3.
