Come to Canada’s 3rd Annual Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon for amazing late season snow and a celebrated season finale!

Awesome Late Season Snow

Experience remarkable April snow paired with world-class grooming. Our partner venues – Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre and SilverStar Mountain Resort are at elevations over 1,600 metres and receive annual average snow falls of 7 metres. Spring skiing conditions are consistently pristine!
Finishing is Winning!

The joy of finishing is what the Sovereign 2 SilverStar (S2S) Ski Marathon is all about. After only two years, the S2S is Canada’s third largest Loppet and the biggest in British Columbia. We had 800 entries in 2023 and over 1,000 are expected for 2024. Last year, skiers ranged in age from 8 to 83 years. Each participant is a winner. We also offer Age Awards for every 5 years.
Racers are Winners Too
We love all of you fast elite and competitive athletes! Olympians compete at the S2S and they also give out awards and join the party. Prize Money totals $6,000. It’s awarded for the 40k course on both days, divided equally for both genders, and given to the top five finishers. We also give 6th, 7th and 8th place finishers a free entry into one event in the following year.
Point to Party!

Skiers start at the Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre World Cup Stadium and wind, climb and ultimately descend (yes!) to a festive finish on Main Street in SilverStar Village. Crossing the finish line is the end of the skiing and the beginning of a celebration – refreshments, music, awards, Silent Auction and more!
Sovereign Lake and SilverStar have a combined total of over 105km of Nordic trails. SilverStar Mountain Resort also has amazing alpine skiing and snowboarding with 12 lifts on four mountain faces. Ski in, ski out by staying in SilverStar Village, with exceptional accommodations, restaurants, and shops.
Sovereign and SilverStar know what they’re doing when it comes to running events. They’ve hosted World Cups and World Masters Championships, plus many local and international events. Volunteers for the S2S are as well-groomed as the trails! Over 300 volunteers help to ensure the event runs smoothly and to celebrate each and every participant.
