With only two weekends and three races left in the Ski Classics Pro Tour, Team Edux is eager for success as they prepare for the Marcialonga Bodø in Norway.

Team Edux aims to elevate their performance in the remaining races of the season, targeting strong finishes in individual events and a top-ten placement in the team competition. Team captain Olli Tyrväinen is confident that Lauri Mannila, Isac Holmström, and Ella Noora Haapalehto will be in contention for the top spots.

“The competition for a top-10 finish in the team competition is fierce. We are heading into the race with a small but capable squad, as we welcome back Lauri alongside Isac, who performed well at Birken, and Ella Noora, who has shown great form throughout the season. We hope for strong performances to help us climb in the team standings,” Tyrväinen outlined the team’s goals to Maastohiihto.com.

Isac Holmström, who had a strong race at Birkebeinerrennet, has found his rhythm after a challenging start to the season and believes his momentum will carry into tomorrow’s race.

“I’m really looking forward to the race. It feels like my fitness is improving all the time, and I’m eager to compete! The weather seems to be making conditions tough, so it will definitely be a challenge. I’m ready to take on the race and see how I perform this time,” Holmström expressed his enthusiasm ahead of the start.

Lauri Mannila had to miss Birken due to illness, but the team’s top skier is now ready to showcase his skills despite some inconsistent training in recent weeks.

“It’s nice to be back competing after being sick. It seems like my fitness has held up, even though the last two weeks have been a bit unstable. The conditions are again challenging, as the race venue has changed for the second time this week, but at least the tracks looked good today. I’m confident we can have a great race,” Mannila reflected the day before the competition.

Finnish skier Kati Roivas from Team Eksjöhus will also be on the course, admitting that the demanding race schedule in March has been tough.

“I’ve faced challenges with recovery. The course is quite clear, but narrow in places. If the weather forecasts hold true, the conditions will certainly make the race tough again. I’m heading out to fight,” Roivas told Maastohiihto.com.

The men’s race starts tomorrow at 10:30 CET, followed by the women’s race at 10:40 CET. You can watch the races on SC Play.
