Ski Classics Season XVII: Vet competition
The Ski Classics World Championship Season XVII concluded with the Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja, and the final standings in the Vet competition were confirmed.
The Vet category includes athletes aged 40 or older, with the overall winner determined by the highest number of points in the Ski Classics Champion standings, regardless of gender.

Klas Nilsson, Team Futura GTE Trentino, finished the season with 716 points, clearly ahead of his closest challengers. Václav Sedláček, eD system RSJ Team, secured second place with 451 points, while Petter Northug, Team Burger King Northug, completed the podium in third place with 419 points.
On the women’s side, Nicole Tröger, Cibes Lift Ski-Willy Marathon Team, was the strongest Vet athlete, finishing with 552 points. Marlies Nipius, Team Emtec Nordic, claimed second place with 371 points, followed by Jenny Ramstedt, Bruse Sauerland Ski Team, in third place with 200 points.
Despite strong performances in both categories, the Vet bib is awarded to the single highest-ranked athlete overall. With his 716 points, Klas Nilsson secured the Vet title for Season XVII.
The result highlights Nilsson’s consistency throughout the winter, as he competed at a high level across multiple Pro Tour events and established himself as the leading veteran athlete in Ski Classics.
