Silly Season: Ida Palmberg hints at a new chapter
Ida Palmberg, a solid Pro Team athlete for Team Ramudden during this year’s Ski Classics Season XVI, is hinting at a shift in her professional career. With top results, including 10th at Tjejvasan and 12th at the 3 Zinnen Ski-Marathon, Palmberg concluded the season ranked 12th overall in the Ski Classics Champion competition.
Now, the Högbo GIF skier appears to be closing the door on her time with the Swedish Pro Team.
In a somewhat cryptic message posted to Instagram, Palmberg wrote:
“T H A N K you, Team Ramudden! & T H A N K you @linakorsgren and @gurrakorsgren for taking care of a little, lost girl four years ago.”
Whether this signals her retirement from professional skiing or a move to a new Pro Team is still unknown.
Ski Classics Career Began in Italy
Palmberg made her Ski Classics debut at Marcialonga during Season XI (2020/2021), finishing 17th. Her best Pro Tour results to date came in Season XIV with back-to-back 7th place finishes at Engadin La Diagonela and Marcialonga.
What’s next for the 28-year-old Swede? For now, it remains to be seen.
