The Swedish cross-country skiing team has arrived in Torsby for the week. Two of the national stars will miss the camp.

The Swedish national cross-country skiing team is currently in Torsby for a training camp.

“The skiers have trained in different places during the summer, so now it feels good to gather everyone for the first camp of the fall. The team will work on ski tests and technique in the ski tunnel, but also with capacity on the challenging slopes in the area around Torsby, which are perfect for interval training,” said Niklas Jonsson in a press release and adds:

“The national team began the camp year with a gathering in Germany and Riksgränsen, and now it’s time to get on the skis again. Torsby is a very good camp location, and we get the opportunity to train with stable conditions on snow.”

Two stars miss the camp

The men’s national team has been in Torsby since Friday and will remain there for the entire camp. The women arrived in Torsby on Monday and will conclude their training on the World Championship courses in Falun.

Most of the athletes from the A-team and Team Bauhaus are present in Torsby. Ebba Andersson has been ill and is not ready for the training camp, while Emma Ribom is in the USA throughout August.
