The Ski Classics Challengers event Tanumsloppet is set to take place this weekend, with the 40km roller skiing race in classic technique held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Tanumshede, Sweden.

Beyond its place on the Ski Classics Challengers calendar, Tanumsloppet 40km also serves as a seeding race for Vasaloppet, giving the event extra weight for skiers targeting a strong starting position at the season’s biggest long-distance skiing event.

The roller skiing course is relatively flat and suits skiers of all levels, with organizers offering a scenic course on a good road surface. Alongside the main 40km race, the event includes shorter roller skiing distances, a running race, children’s races, and special races.
