Bing and Hannesdóttir winners of Fossavatnsgangan 2025
After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Iceland, Fossavatnsgangan, saw a solid fight for the podium places. Thomas Bing, eD system Vltava Fund Team, and Linda Rós Hannesdóttir won their respective races with solid performances.
Fossavatnsgangan – Men’s Race
In the men’s competition, the winner was Thomas Bing, eD system Vltava Fund Team, with a total time of 2:14:43.3.
Rickard Ericsson, Team Futura Trentino GTE Elettrica, finished in second place, 5:07.7 back, followed by Snorri Einarsson, 5:48.7 seconds behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

Fossavatnsgangan – Women’s Race
In the women’s event, the winner Linda Rós Hannnesdóttir completed the race in a time of 3:26:44.0, after a solid solo breakaway.
Edda Vésteinsdóttir finished in second place, 17:36.0 behind, followed by Beth Bernhardt, completing the podium in third position and 19:41.0 back.

As the Fossavatnsgangan 50km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
