Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic 2024

The Ski Classics Challengers event in Canada, Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic, saw Xavier McKeever, Foothills Nordic, and Hannah Mehain, Sovereign Lake Nordic Club, winning their respective races with solid performances.

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic – 41km Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, the winner was Xavier McKeever, Foothills Nordic, with a total time of 1:55:42.6.

Tom Stephen, Foothills Nordic, finished in second place, 0.8 seconds back, followed by Max Hollman, 1:27.8 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  1. Xavier McKeever, Foothills Nordic, 1:55:42.6
  2. Tom Stephen, Foothills Nordic, +0.8

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic – 41km Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Hannah Mehain, Sovereign Lake Nordic Club, completed the race in a time of 2:24:06.7.

Anna Sellers, eD system Silvini Team, finished in second place, 4:57.6 behind, followed by Dasha Atkins, Space Dogs Ski Club, completing the podium in third position and 6:33.2 back.

The Ski Classics Challengers event in Canada, Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate, saw a fierce battle for the podium places. Tom Stephen, Foothills Nordic, and Amanda Butler, Team Savage, won their respective races with solid performances.

In the men’s competition, the winner was Tom Stephen, Foothills Nordic, with a total time of 1:39:00.6.

Max Hollman, Big Thunder Nordic, finished in second place, 2:39.0 back, followed by Xavier McKeever, Foothills Nordic, 2:39.1 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

In the women’s event, the winner, Amanda Butler, Team Savage, completed the race in a time of 1:55:24.4.

Anna Sellers, eD system Silvini Team, finished in second place, 6:03.5 behind, followed by Katya Semeniuk, Nakkertok Nordic, completing the podium in third position and 6:17.8 back.

As Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic and Skate are Ski Classics Challengers events, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
