Andreas Nygaard and Britta Johansson Norgren Remain in Yellow After Birkebeinerrennet

Birkebeinerrennet marked the eleventh Visma Ski Classics and Season XII’s fourth and last Grand Classics event. These are the bib-holders in various overall competitions.

On Saturday, Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Charge, and Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Koteng Eidissen, won the hilly 54-kilometer long-distance skiing race Birkebeinerrennet, in Norway. With the results, you can now check the rankings and bib-holders.

CHAMPION COMPETITION

When we look at the Visma Ski Classics general classification, the yellow Champion Bib remains on the shoulders of Andreas Nygaard and Britta Johansson Norgren after this weekend’s Pro Tour event. 

In the men’s battle for the overall, Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Charge, keeps the yellow bib with 1683 points after his win at Birkebeinerrennet. Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, is sitting in second place overall with 1322 points, followed by Max Novak, Team Ramudden, with 1312 points. 

Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team, leads the competition with 1834 points, followed by Ida Dahl, Team Ramudden, with 1762 points. Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Koteng Eidissen, is the new third place overall with 1440 points.

SPRINT COMPETITION

After no Sprint checkpoints at Birkebeinerrennet, Stian Berg, Team Kaffebryggeriet, keeps the green bib in the men’s Sprint Competition, with 161 points. Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, comes in second place with 153 points, followed by Ermil Vokuev, Russian Winter Team, with 146 points.

Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team, carries the green bib of the women’s Sprint Competition, with 263 points. Anniken Gjerde Alnes, Team Ragde Charge, is in the second position with 132 points, and Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Koteng Eidissen, follows close in the third position with 128 points.

CLIMB COMPETITION

After this Saturday’s Birkebeinerrennet, where Pro Tour skiers had two Climb checkpoints, Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XNPD Fuel, is the new leader in the Climbing Competition with 177 points. Ermil Vokuev, Russian Winter Team, is in second place with 166 points, followed by Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Charge, with 137 points.

Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Koteng Eidissen, is the new leader with 240 points in the women’s Climb Competition. Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team, is in second place with 230 points, followed by Ida Dahl, Team Ramudden, in third with 227 points.

YOUTH COMPETITION

The pink bibs in the Youth Competition are still resting on the shoulders of Max Novak and Ida Dahl, both from Team Ramudden, with 1312 and 1762 points, respectively.

Herman Paus, Team Ramudden, with 822 points, is in second place for the Youth bib, followed by Axel Jutterström, Team Eksjöhus, in third place with 644 points.

In the women’s ranking, Ida Palmberg, Team Ramudden, is now in second place with 589 points, followed by Julia Angelsiöö, Team Næringsbanken, in third place for the pink bib with 587 points.

GRAND CLASSICS

Birkebeinerrennet marked the fourth and last Grand Classics event, Season XII. The Grand Classics events are the four largest and most prestigious in Visma Ski Classics: Marcialonga, Jizerská50, Vasaloppet, and Birkebeinerrennet.

As reported yesterday by ProXCskiing, after their victories at Birkebeinerrennet, Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Koteng Eidissen, and Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Charge, were crowned the Visma Grand Classics Trophy winners, Season XII.

Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Charge, won the Grand Classics overall with 1095 points in the men’s ranking. Second place with 706 points was Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, followed by Johannes Eklöf, Team Ramudden, with 671 points in the third position.

Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Koteng Eidissen, won the Visma Grand Classics Trophy with 1050 points on the women’s side. Ida Dahl, Team Ramudden, with 908 points, finished in second place, followed by Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team, with 900 points, in the third position. 

PRO TEAM COMPETITION

Team Ramudden keeps the lead in the Pro Team Competition with 2060 points, followed by Lager 157 Ski Team in second with 1860 points and Team Ragde Charge in third, with 1555 points.
