The biathlon World Cup season 2025/2026 started last week in Sweden. Check here the sprint, individual, pursuit, relay, nations cup, and total score standings after the Östersund competitions.

Östersund, Sweden, was the venue for the first stage of the 2025/2026 biathlon World Cup season. The event began on Saturday, November 29, with the women’s and men’s relays. On Sunday, November 30, a single mixed relay and a mixed relay were scheduled. After a rest day, the women’s 15km individual took place on Tuesday, December 2.

On Wednesday, December 3, it was time for the men’s 20km individual. The sprint races followed at the end of the week, with the women on Friday, December 5, and the men on Saturday, December 6. The Östersund week concluded with pursuit races for both women and men on Sunday, December 7.

Next Up – Hochfilzen World Cup

The next stop in the World Cup season 2025/2026 is Hochfilzen, taking place next weekend. Scheduled to take place from December 12 to 14, 2025, this second stage of the World Cup will feature three days of competitions in Austria.

The event begins on Friday with the women’s and men’s Sprints, continues on Saturday with the men’s 12.5km Pursuit and women’s 4x6km Relay, and concludes on Sunday with the men’s 4×7.5km Relay and women’s 10km Pursuit.

After Hochfilzen (Austria), the biathlon World Cup continues in Annecy – Le Grand Bornand (France), before heading to Oberhof (Germany), Ruhpolding (Germany), Nové Město na Moravě (Czech Republic), and Antholz–Anterselva (Italy) for the Winter Olympic Games. The post-Olympic stages will take place in Kontiolahti (Finland) and Otepää (Estonia). The 2025/2026 World Cup season ends in Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway).
