The Ski Classics Challengers event, Tana-Varangerrennet, is a long-distance race in classic technique, taking place this Saturday, April 18, in Norway.

Tana-Varangerrennet is a long-distance skiing event that takes place in Norway, with an extensive 27-year history, and for the 7th edition, a competitive event with timing. For 2026, due to the snow conditions, the event is taking place with start and finish in Rabogorro, close to the Polarsletta Skistadion, and a 46km course, starting at 10:00 CEST.

Even with a shortened course, the event is once again part of the Ski Classics Challengers circuit for the upcoming edition on April 18, 2026.

The Local Organizing Committee is pleased about the event:

“The trails are now set – and as many have requested, there will also be a recreational class! In addition to the competitive class at 46km, we invite you to the Kievra Challenge 23km without timing, with a mass start alongside the main race. This will be a celebration of skiing for everyone!” and adds:

“Excellent weather has been forecast, and there will be great opportunities to cheer on the athletes from Skihytta and several other spots along the course!

We hope to see many of you both on the start line and out on the trails – everything is set for a fantastic ski weekend!”
