Bought property for €6 million – moving to Bærum
Emil Iversen (34) and his fiancée, Bettina Burud (29), have purchased the waterfront property Borgenhaug 20 at Snarøya in Bærum, Norway. The price? Over 70 million kroner (about €6 million).
According to DN, the property includes a shoreline, private dock, boat space, and a separate rental unit. It also features a large garden and panoramic sea views, set in a secluded location within one of Bærum’s most exclusive neighborhoods.
The World Champion from the 50km race in Oberstdorf 2021 has been engaged to Bettina Burud since May this year. The couple has been together since 2021. Burud is heir to the grocery chain Kiwi. She is the daughter of the late Kiwi CEO Per-Erik Burud. Together with her brother Joakim, she owns 1.6 percent of Norgesgruppen. Her taxable fortune was listed at 430 million kroner in 2023 (about €37 million), while Kapital estimates her real wealth at 1.2 billion kroner (about €103 million).

Selling other properties
In 2023, the Iversen/Burud couple bought a house in Trondheim for 10.5 million kroner (about €900,000). In addition, Burud owns a penthouse apartment at Frogner in Oslo, which she purchased for 26.5 million kroner in 2020 (about €2.3 million). It is now for sale for 34.5 million kroner (about €3 million), at the same time as they have bought the luxury property at Snarøya.
The Borgenhaug 20 property has been on the market since August last year. At that time, the asking price was 75 million kroner (about €6.5 million). According to sales documents from Bærum municipality, it was sold for 71.5 million kroner (about €6.1 million).
The 1,700-square-meter property is located in one of the most exclusive and expensive areas near the capital.
The real estate agent Christian L. Mathiesen from Tinholt Real Estate handled the sale.
“It’s a property where everything is right. The house is only a few meters from the shoreline, and the property has sun all day,” Mathiesen told Dagens Næringsliv.
He adds that the house requires some upgrading, but emphasizes that it is a beautiful property with every quality.
