In Ski Classics, Ishida had some solid results, winning both La Diagonela in 2015 and Reistadløpet in 2018. Now, she has signed a contract with the Swiss Pro Team, Team BSV Ibex.

“Masako is joining our team, and at the moment, she will do all events with Team BSV Ibex. We are delighted to have her on the team,” says Pro Team Director Markus Walser.

According to Walser, Masako Ishida will join the squad in Davos on Monday and stay until after La Venosta. For Christmas, the Japanese Pro Team athlete will travel back home and will come back to Davos before the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon, scheduled for January 13 in Italy.

The expectations of having the experienced Pro Team athlete on the squad are high:

“Our expectation is that she can help the team with her experience from many seasons. And also, she knows how it works in other teams. Regarding results, she has the level to reach top 10 results. We are proud that Masako will ski for Team BSV Ibex,” concludes Walser.
