Therese Johaug Wins the 30km Skate at the Olympics

by Ingeborg Scheve • 20.02.2022
Therese Johaug of Norway collected her third individual gold medal winning the final event of the Beijing Olympics by a land slide.

Therese Johaug capped her Olympic career with a solid victory.

The 33-year-old Norwegian won the brutal 30-kilometer skate race at the 2022 Olympics by one minute and 43 seconds to USA’s Jessie Diggins, while Kerttu Niskanen of Finland was third.

Due to grueling conditions with frigid temperatures and howling winds, the race was moved up several hours to let the skiers compete at the warmest part of the day.
