For two and a half years, Swedish skier Edvin Anger and Norwegian Emma Axelsson were a couple in the cross-country skiing world. Now Anger confirms that the relationship has ended, leaving him single ahead of the Olympic season.

The Swedish cross-country skier, Edvin Anger, revealed the breakup to Södra Dalarnas Tidning in his hometown of Hedemora. After two and a half years, it is over with Norwegian Emma Axelsson.

According to Anger, the two are still good friends, but the summer has been different.

“Now you don’t have anyone to call every night or when you get home,” Anger says.

The 23-year-old and Norwegian Axelsson are now going their separate ways.

“There’s nothing bad between us. We’re still in touch as friends, so nothing happened between us.”

Edvin Anger admits that the summer has felt different without Emma.

“It has come in waves. Sometimes you think about it a lot, sometimes less. Above all, it’s that you were so used to being together so much. And then suddenly you go from one hundred to zero in a day. That’s the biggest change, not having someone to call every night or when you get home.”

Last winter, Anger claimed his first World Cup victory, and he is considered one of Sweden’s top medal contenders for the 2026 Olympic Games in Val di Fiemme, Italy.
