Charlotte Kalla is one of 14 Swedish racers headed for Tour de Ski.

The Swedish Ski Association has named seven women and seven men to the upcoming Tour de Ski.

Among the athletes headed for Tour de Ski is Charlotte Kalla. The 34-year-old is aiming for her fourth Olympics and hopes to secure her ticket to Beijing in the brutal stage race

Additionally, several racers who are already prequalified for the Olympics will race the Tour de Ski.

“Some of our racers who are already selected for the Olympics are choosing to sit out the Tour in order to put in a solid training period at home. But others, including Ebba Andersson, Frida Karlsson, Jens Burman and Oskar Svensson, are using Tour de Ski as a part of their preparation for the Olympics,” says Swedish national team director Anders Byström.

Tour de Ski starts on December 28 and concludes on January 4

The absolutely last chance to qualify for the Olympics is at the World Cup in Les Rousses in France on January 14 to 16, 2002.
