Schuchinsk – Kazakhstan

Located in the Akmola Region of northern Kazakhstan, the resort city of Schuchinsk hosts this prestigious event. Its name stems from the abundance of pike fish, locally known as “shuka,” in the nearby lake. With a population of just over 50.000, the city boasts breathtaking surroundings, including evergreen pine forests, birch groves, majestic blue mountains, and many crystal-clear lakes.

Schuchinsk takes great pride in its rich ski heritage, having produced renowned Kazakh skiers such as Olympic champion Vladimir Smirnov and WSC medalist Nikolay Chebotko.
