The cross-country World Cup season 2024/2025 continued today in Les Rousses, France, with a 20km mass start race in classic technique for women and men. Check out the men’s results.

William Poromaa, from Sweden, took first place in the men’s 20km mass start race in classic technique at the cross-country World Cup in Les Rousses, France. Complete results from the men’s event.

William Poromaa, from Sweden, showed his form and won today’s 20km mass start race with a total time of 51:43.1.

Iivo Niskanen, from Finland, snagged second place 0.9 seconds back, and Simen Hegstad Krüger, from Norway, completed the podium in third place, 5.0 seconds behind the winner. 

Erik Valnes, from Norway, and Hugo Lapalus, from France, rounded out the top 5 by finishing 4th and 5th, respectively.

  • 12:15 CET: Sprint Qualify C, Women
  • 12:40 CET: Sprint Qualify C, Men
  • 14:45 CET: Sprint Final C, Women
  • 15:15 CET: Sprint Final C, Men

Sunday, January 19: 20km Mass Start Classic (More details can be found HERE)

  • 11:20 CET: 20km Mass Start C, Women
  • 15:45 CET: 20km Mass Start C, Women

After France (Les Rousses), the cross-country skiing World Cup heads to Switzerland (Engadin), and Italy (Cogne).

Then, the World Cup heads to Sweden (Falun) in mid-February and Norway (Trondheim) for the World Championships at the end of February and beginning of March.  

After the World Championships, the World Cup ends the season with weekends in Norway (Oslo), Estonia (Tallinn), and Finland (Lahti).
