Poromaa and Wiklund to inspire through mental training lectures
William Poromaa has worked with mental coach Stig Wiklund for many years. Now, the duo will begin giving lectures together.
William Poromaa wrapped up the World Championships in Trondheim by winning silver in the 50km race. Now, just like the rest of the Swedish national team, he is fully immersed in summer training.
For nearly 10 years, he has worked with mental coach Stig Wiklund. Now, the two will start giving joint lectures.
“This feels incredibly fun. I know firsthand how important the mental aspect is – not just in elite sports but in everything we do. Getting to share that together with Stig feels both natural and inspiring,” says William Poromaa in a press release.
The lectures will focus on how to cultivate winning habits, develop mental resilience, and maintain the right focus when it matters most.

“Concrete tools”
Thanks to William’s experience on the World Cup circuit and his journey toward Olympic gold in 2026, combined with Stig’s long-standing work as a mental coach, attendees will both recognize themselves in the stories and receive practical tools they can apply in their everyday lives.
“Getting to do this together with William, who has an impressive mindset and passion for his sport, feels incredibly inspiring. William and I started working on mental training when he was just 15. Our goal is to inspire others to both feel and perform better,” says Stig Wiklund in the press release.
The lectures are designed for companies, organizations, sports clubs, and individuals seeking to enhance their mental strength, motivation, and goal focus.
